Six months ago, when Fox Sports first published the “case study” article, a series of women in video games were featured in the game, and were invited to give a presentation on how they were able to make their own games, and how the game industry has been a space for them.
It was the first of many cases that have followed, with many women and girls going on to make games and create content that will eventually be published, or at least referenced in the games that they created.
The case study has been viewed nearly three million times since it was published in November.
The goal was to get people talking about what it means to be a woman in video game, but what about when you’re the only female in the room?
And, when you think of that moment when a female game developer speaks out, do you think about the privilege that she’s sharing with the audience, or do you remember that moment and wonder why the video game industry hasn’t taken the same steps?
It’s an interesting question, and I wanted to share some thoughts on the topic with the community.
Gender disparity in games is real, and it’s not just a matter of the tech industry.
In a study released by the Entertainment Software Association, female and male game developers are equal in terms of pay and the number of women working on games.
The report also found that women make up over 60 percent of the developers in the industry, but only 25 percent of those are women.
The industry’s gender pay gap is still an issue, and is the subject of a separate study released last year by the Center for American Progress, which analyzed data from the National Science Foundation.
The results of that study revealed that the gap between male and female developers was about the same across all industries, with the gap in tech industry software industry coming in a close second.
While the gender pay gaps have narrowed, there is still a significant gender pay disparity in video gaming.
Women in the video games industry make about 60 percent more than their male counterparts in software industry positions, and about 50 percent more in video-game related roles, according to a 2016 study conducted by Pew Research Center.
The gap also persists in other industries.
For example, women make just under 60 percent as much in management positions in film and television as men do in video production.
That same study found that more than 50 percent of male video game designers make more than women in the same position, with that gender gap widening over time.
The issue of gender disparity in the technology industry is a bigger issue than in the gaming industry, as the disparity is larger, and the opportunities for women are much greater, according for example, to the recent study released in December by the Feminist Majority Foundation.
That study found the number that made it to the top of the list of highest-paid women in technology is about twice as high as the number made the list in film, and over 40 percent more so than the number making the list for video games.
Women have been doing their part to bring down the pay gap for women.
For decades, women in tech have fought to equalize the pay of their male peers, but the issue of pay inequality has only gotten worse in recent years.
The disparity in tech, which is not only an issue of representation, but also of representation in technology itself, has only grown, with more and more companies recognizing that their pay inequities need to change.
In 2016, a study from the University of Toronto found that nearly 40 percent of women were employed in software, a much higher percentage than the 18 percent who were in engineering, and a larger percentage than women who were working in other technology fields.
In 2015, another study from Northeastern University found that of the more than 10,000 people who applied for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) computer science grants, only 14 percent of them were women.
There are plenty of ways to be successful in the tech sector, and to be able to succeed in the world of video games, but it’s important to remember that there are still many barriers to overcome.
In 2017, the Association of American Publishers (AAP) released a study that highlighted the fact that only 10 percent of video game developers in 2016 were women, but in 2016, only 5 percent of all video game programmers were women—compared to 25 percent in 2010.
The study also found the percentage of female developers dropped from 33 percent in 2014 to 26 percent in 2016.
The most recent report from the Pew Research group found that, while the number and percentage of women who are in technology has decreased, the number who are working in tech has increased, and that the gender gap in technical positions continues to grow.
The data also suggests that women are underrepresented in some technical roles in games, with only 14.9 percent of game developers being women in 2016 compared to 37.6 percent in 2011
